April Leonie Lindevald, the founder and heart of Aprilsongs, Inc, is a performer, songwriter, facilitator and intuitive counselor based in Long Island, N.Y., U.S.A. A classically trained vocalist, she has delighted audiences with her rich, colorful mezzo-soprano in a wide variety of musical styles. As a featured member of the famed choral group, Gregg Smith Singers, Ms Lindevald performed as both soloist and ensemble member in N.Y.City concerts, on tours of America, Europe and Asia, and in numerous recordings. April also served as a regular chorister at the New York City Opera, participating in scores of productions, as well as in the touring and educational arms of the company, and in an occasional comprimario understudy assignment. An array of dramatic and comic acting roles also appear on her resume. A lifelong
student of metaphysics, religion, and the Spiritual Path, April uses
intuitive tools such as tarot to help comfort, focus, and empower people

back to her youthful passion for songwriting, using her gift for melody
and for language to communicate a lifetime's accumulation of thoughts
on triumph, tragedy, transition, life, love, challenge and possibility.
Her hope was that in sharing her own experience through music, story,
and humor, she could reach out to lift others from their sense of isolation
and helplessness, and encourage them in their own ventures. The positive
feedback she received encouraged her to step out fully as a modern -day
Troubador with a message. In November, 2001, April's debut CD, "Fish
Out Of Wizard School" was released, featuring twelve original songs
in a variety of styles, performed by Ms. Lindevald against a colorful
canvas of guitar, flute, bass, cello, oboe, trumpet, English horn, percussion
and additional vocals. Aprilsongs, Inc. was formed in order to provide
structure, support, outreach, and focus for Ms. Lindevald's creative
endeavors, including concerts, workshops and CD production and distribution.
