CONCERTS: Whether in a living room gathering, a classroom, or a large concert hall, April's intimate style draws the whole audience into personal relationship as she shares her voice, her melodies, and her unique insights. Folks come to be entertained, but they leave with a feel-good glow, and a sense of new possibilities. Her current program, MUSIC FOR THE JOURNEY, masterfully weaves together her delightful songs with anecdotes from her own life experience, told with directness, honesty, and the dramatic flare of the true Storyteller. Using props, hats, humor and music, April shifts the mood by turns from playful to introspective to deeply philosophical. By sharing her own journey, she hopes to make connections, and provide insight, companionship, comfort and inspiration to her listeners as fellow travelers on the road. MUSIC FOR THE JOURNEY is suitable for all ages, and particularly enjoyable to all who have ever asked the bigger questions, such as "What are we doing here?", "Where are we going?, and "Who's in charge of this show, anyway, and where can I send him an e-mail?!" This program may be offered in a full two-hour format, or an abbreviated 40-45 minute version, priced accordingly. Other programs may be tailored to a theme of your choosing.

CD : April's debut CD, FISH OUT OF WIZARD SCHOOL, is now available, and features 12 original songs performed by April, accompanied by an array of instrumental colors. WORKSHOPS: Aprilsongs offers several songwriting and creative expression "playshops", suitable for many age and skill levels. In our current program, SONGS OF YOUR LIFE, Ms. Lindevald shares several of her delightful songs that came from an autobiographical context, and discusses briefly their genesis and the Creative Process that turns life experiences into works of Art. She then engages members of the audience in games and exercises designed to use their own encounters with real-life events as a springboard for creating poetry and music. The goal is not necessarily to emerge with a finished or polished product at the end of the session. Rather, the idea is introduced that our thoughts and feelings about everyday events can be the inspiration for artistic work, and that all of us have the tools at our disposal to creatively express something about our own unique experience. All of this, couched in fun and playful activities guaranteed to make learning painless and memorable !

CUSTOM SONGS: Is there a special moment on your personal journey that needs to be marked; a birth or engagement, anniversary or special achievement? How about a custom-created song to celebrate the occasion? As classic or personal as you wish, Ms. Lindevald will weave details you provide or favorite themes you choose into a musical memory which can be enjoyed and treasured for years to come - the perfect unique gift to commemorate that important milestone. Or, does your organization, cause or event need a themesong to rally support or crystallize ideals? A special song can be a powerful tool to persuade, affirm, or unite. April has created theme-based songs for the National Organization for Non-Parents, Blood Donation, and Breast Cancer Awareness, as well as personal commissions for births, christenings, weddings, and thank-you gifts.
